Background: Congenital Hyperinsulinism (CHI) is the most common cause of recurrent and severe hypoglycaemia in childhood and can be broadly categorised into two subtypes. Diffuse CHI (CHI-D) involving all pancreatic cells is usually treated with medications and rarely subtotal pancreatectomy.
